Students Welcome Desk

The Welcome Center will provide you with important informations about student life (accommodation, university restaurants, scholarship, jobs, health services, transport, culture, sports…), and about student residence permit.

At the Student Welcome Desk, you will find:

  • information on student life (accommodation, catering, scolarship, jobs, health, transport, culture, sport…)
  • assistance in validating your visa and applying for or renewing your 1st student residence permit
  • assistance with your Crous application (scholarship/accommodation application)
  • assistance with day-to-day procedures (CPAM/CAF)
  • the possibility of benefiting from the solidarity-based urban transport tariff for international students (open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday)
  • the opportunity to meet with a CPAM agent (open Wednesday afternoons)
  • free access to cyberspace for administrative formalities

How do I apply for a student residence permit?

A team of students is there to help you submit your application to renew or apply for your first residence permit at the Student Welcome Desk (check that your application is complete).

Please note: first-time applications and applications to renew student residence permits must be made online between 4 and 2 months before the expiry date of the previous permit.

Duty Period T2C (Reduced fares for the city transport network for international students)

T2C agent receive you at the Student Welcome Desk to prepare your application file to benefit reduced fares for the city transport network for international students.

Appointments must be take online at mesrdv.etudiant.gouv.fr .

Please send an e-mail prior to your appointment to smtc@crous-clermont.fr :

  • Your information: surname, first name, date of birth and telephone number.
  • Your school certificate for the year 2024-2025
  • Your passport, visa or residence permit
  • Salary slips (if you have a work)
  • Scolarship certificate (if you have a scolarship)
  • CAF notification (if you receive housing benefit)

Duty Period CPAM (Caisse Primaire d’Assurance Maladie)

CPAM agents are on there at the Espace Accueil Etudiants to help you apply for social security, a carte vitale, complementary health insurance, etc.

Duty Period CAF (Caisse Allocations Familiales)

Crous agents are on there at the Espace Accueil Etudiants to arrange a remote appointment with a CAF agent to help you with your housing assistance application.

Wednesdays from 9am to 12pm

Appointments must be take at the Espace Accueil Etudiants.

Make an appointment for your administrative file

For students who cannot come or have a particular problem (C visa, residence permit, student of territorial sites on any theme, refugee…), they can have appointments.

Monday to Wednesday from 5 pm to 7 pm.
